Prevaccination Antibody Confers Additional Immune Responses to Repeated Yearly Influenza Vaccination in an Elderly Population

چکیده

Annual vaccination is necessary to maintain humoral immunity in the elderly population. However, factors influencing response influenza have not been completely identified. The aim of this study was explore that influenced antibody responses repeated using measures were both objective and quantitative. A total 111 volunteers aged > 61 years vaccinated subcutaneously with one dose vaccine from 2005-2006 season through 2009-2010 season. after evaluated. seroprotection rates (PRs) significantly higher responders (subjects a titer season) than nonresponders only 2006-2007 2007-2008 seasons. PRs seropositive individuals prevaccination seronegative for all three virus strains almost 5 years. Age, gender, 2004-2005 did influence response. These results suggest an immune at certain time point would predict near future. following ideal predictor future last over several

Annually repeated influenza vaccination improves humoral responses to several influenza virus strains in healthy elderly.

The benefit of annually repeated influenza vaccination on antibody formation is still under debate. In this study the effect of annually repeated influenza vaccination on haemagglutination inhibiting (HI) antibody formation in the elderly is investigated. Between 1990 and 1993 healthy young and elderly, both selected by the SENIEUR protocol, were vaccinated consecutively with commercially avail...

Responses of cytokines to influenza vaccination in elite boy gymnasts

ABSTRACT Introduction: Many of effects of exercise are mediated through cytokines. Inflammatory cytokines are increased by exercise and inhibited by anti-inflammatory cytokines. Meanwhile, vaccination leads to an increase in the inflammatory cytokines. To test the hypothesis that exercise training might alter the cytokine response to the influenza vaccine, we measured selected cy...

Anti-influenza antibody Level after Vaccination

Abstract: Introduction: Influenza is highly transmitted disease and vaccination is the most effective way to prevent influenza. This research was designed to study the variation of serum antibody level among the subjects had already been vaccinated against influenza. Materials and Methods: This research is a descriptive-analytical study, which was carried out on 196 subjects who had influenza v...

Immune responses after live attenuated influenza vaccination

Since 2003 (US) and 2012 (Europe) the live attenuated influenza vaccine (LAIV) has been used as an alternative to the traditional inactivated influenza vaccines (IIV). The immune responses elicted by LAIV mimic natural infection and have been found to provide broader clinical protection in children compared to the IIVs. However, our knowledge of the detailed immunological mechanisims induced by...
